For this reason, I thought it would be time to write about the Mayo Clinic Diet. Like the Dash Diet, which I wrote in my last post which is a good diet, The Mayo Clinic Diet could be your success to losing that belly fat. But hey, you will never know unless you get on board and try it.
I’m not gonna bore you by making this an extremely long post. I’ll get to the point on (1)what the Mayo Clinic Diet is,(2) how it will benefit you and (3) how it will work? Those are really the only points that I need to get across to get you to see that the Mayo Clinic Diet could be for you.
What Is The Mayo Clinic Diet?
The Mayo Clinic Diet is a weight loss and lifestyle diet created by the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. A lot of research was made to ensure that this diet would work and meet standards of weight loss.
This diet is more of a lifestyle. The main reason behind the Mayo Clinic Diet is to teach you to lose excess weight and learn the importance of healthy eating and portion size. You need to make the right chose when choosing the kind of foods to eat. Also, portion size will make a big difference when it comes to how many calories you are eating.
Once you develop a good eating habit, then you will be able to maintain a healthy weight. The Mayo Clinic Diet. claims that you should be able to lose up to 10lbs in 2 weeks. That does not surprise me at all. That’s all it takes is changing who you are and what you eat.
How The Mayo Clinic Diet Works?
Like I wrote earlier, the Mayo Clinic Diet is more of a lifestyle. The Mayo Clinic Diet consist of 2 stages:
The first part is a 2-week program of the phase that will help you start the weight loss process. The reason is, that bad habits are hard to break. But that is what is recommended on this diet. Losing the bad habits that you have when it comes to eating.
This is why they say that you can lose 10 lbs in 2 weeks. You’re changing your eating habits. How it work is like this. Add 5 healthy habits to you everyday eating routine. Get rid of 5 bad eating habits and adding 5 bonus healthy habits.
Also, this phase asks that you do at least 30 minutes of exercise daily.
The next phase of this diet is the live its phase. Now that you have broken your bad habits and replaced it with some healthy habits, this phase will come naturally to you. So now to maintain the weight loss, this phase will teach you about portion size, menu planning, and food choices. You will also develop a long-term healthy eating pattern.
Also, exercise should always be your focal point along with this or any diet.
The Benefits Of The Mayo Clinic Diet
Weight loss is one of the benefits of the Mayo Clinic Diet. If you just follow the rules of this diet, weight loss will come easy. Besides losing weight, This diet is good for your heart. Because this diet relies on eating heaving fruits, whole grains, and vegetables, this can prevent you from having heart disease.
Also, because of high fiber fruits, vegetables and whole grains that stabilize the blood sugar level and prevent or control diabetes. So you must consume vegetables, whole grains, nuts, beans, fruits, and healthy fat as recommended by the Mayo Clinic diet. This way you won’t have the risk of having high blood pressure, sleep apnea and heart diseases.
Stick with this diet and watch you lose weight and start living a very good lifestyle.
