Hello, welcome to Losing Weight With Pat. This is another post on foods that can help shed those pounds.

You probably ask that same question as a lot of people who are trying to lose weight. That question is, are there foods that help you lose weight?

Food that help with weight loss

Losing weight does not have to be a hard thing to do. What makes it hard, is you. That’s right. It all starts with you. You have to have the right mind frame and a great attitude to want to change. It starts with what you put in your mouth.

I will write `a quick post on 10 foods that will help you. Some of these foods might surprise you. They did me when I did my research on these.

  1. Kale-Kale provides fiber, iron, and calcium. Kale has 35 calories per cup, that is raw and chopped. That means by eating more Kale you will be full without adding calories or fat. So when losing weight Kale is recommended as an aid for weight loss. The fiber in Kale will help kick your digestive system into gear and keep you regular.

  2. Blueberries-Blueberries have over 3.5 grams of fiber which fill you up and keep your digestive system running smoothly. The antioxidants in blueberries have been linked to the banishing of belly fat. You can go on the blueberries diet and you will lose weight.
  3. Whole Eggs-Eggs were once considered to be high in cholesterol,  They are now making a comeback. New studies have found that they don’t affect blood cholesterol and don’t cause heart attacks.  Being high in protein, healthy fats, and cam makes you feel full. Alos, low in calories. One more thing about whole eggs, by eating eggs for breakfast increased weight loss on a calorie restricted diet compared to bagels.
  4. Salmon-Salmon is incredibly healthy. It will also keep you full for many hours with very low calorie. Salmon has high-quality protein, healthy fats, and contains all sorts of important nutrients.
  5. Apples– Applies are a calorie-efficient way to curb hunger. You should at least eat an apple a day. It’s considered a super fruit and is high in fiber and low in calories. Apples have vitamins and minerals. All these can help to lose weight in a variety of ways.

  6. Boiled Potatoes-Boiled Potatoes have several properties that make them perfect for weight loss. They have just about every nutrients , just about everything our bodies need. By eating Boiled Potatoes, your will naturally feel full and are less likely to eat other foods.
  7. Tuna-Tuna is another low0calorie, high protein food. Tuna is a lean fish. It does not have much fat in it. Bodybuilders eat tuna because it’s a great way to keep protein high and low on fat.
  8. Cottage Cheese-Most dairy products are high in protein. One of the best dairy products you can consume is cottage cheese. Cottage cheese is mostly protein with very little carbohydrate and fat. You will really boost your protein if you eat more cottage cheese.
  9. Chili Pepper-Eating chili peppers may be useful for weight loss, especially of you are on a weight loss diet. Chili peppers have a substance to called capsaicin. The can help reduce appetite and increase fat burning.
  10. Fruit-Healthy experts agree that fruit is very healthy. Most studies have shown that people who eat fruit (and vegetables) tend to be healthier than people who don’t.

The 10 foods that will help you with weight loss, especially if you are on a weight loss diet. My implementing these in your diet can have a big impact on losing weight.

I can’t stress it enough, but you need to buy these. You will satisfy yourself. You will be in a better mood because you’re taking care of your body.

This is my number 1 goal. To get your eating healthy meals and maintain your weight. The first thing you need to do is start making smart choices. When you shop and how you live your life. All this matters when trying to lose weight.

For this reason, I thought it would be time to write about the Mayo Clinic Diet. Like the Dash Diet, which I wrote in my last post which is a good diet, The Mayo Clinic Diet could be your success to losing that belly fat. But hey, you will never know unless you get on board and try it.

I’m not gonna bore you by making this an extremely long post. I’ll get to the point on (1) what the Mayo Clinic Diet is, (2) how it will benefit you and (3) how it will work? Those are really the only points that I need to get across to get you to see that the Mayo Clinic Diet could be for you.

What Is The Mayo Clinic Diet?

The Mayo Clinic Diet is a weight loss and lifestyle diet created by the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. A lot of research was made to ensure that this diet would work and meet standards of weight loss.

This diet is more of a lifestyle. The main reason behind the Mayo Clinic Diet is to teach you to lose excess weight and learn the importance of healthy eating and portion size. You need to make the right chose when choosing the kind of foods to eat. Also, portion size will make a big difference when it comes to how many calories you are eating.

Once you develop a good eating habit, then you will be able to maintain a healthy weight. The Mayo Clinic Diet. claims that you should be able to lose up to 10lbs in 2 weeks. That does not surprise me at all. That’s all it takes is changing who you are and what you eat.

How The Mayo Clinic Diet Works?

Like I wrote earlier, the Mayo Clinic Diet is more of a lifestyle. The Mayo Clinic Diet consist of 2 stages:

Eat healthy
Lose weight as a family
  1. Lose it
  2. Live it

Lose it

The first part is a 2-week program of the phase that will help you start the weight loss process. The reason is, that bad habits are hard to break. But that is what is recommended on this diet. Losing the bad habits that you have when it comes to eating.

This is why they say that you can lose 10 lbs in 2 weeks. You’re changing your eating habits. How it work is like this. Add 5 healthy habits to you everyday eating routine. Get rid of 5 bad eating habits and adding 5 bonus healthy habits.

Also, this phase asks that you do at least 30 minutes of exercise daily.

Live It

The next phase of this diet is the live its phase. Now that you have broken your bad habits and replaced it with some healthy habits, this phase will come naturally to you. So now to maintain the weight loss, this phase will teach you about portion size, menu planning, and food choices. You will also develop a long-term healthy eating pattern.

Also, exercise should always be your focal point along with this or any diet.

The Benefits Of The Mayo Clinic Diet

Weight loss is one of the benefits of the Mayo Clinic Diet. If you just follow the rules of this diet, weight loss will come easy. Besides losing weight, This diet is good for your heart. Because this diet relies on eating heaving fruits, whole grains, and vegetables, this can prevent you from having heart disease.

Also, because of high fiber fruits, vegetables and whole grains that stabilize the blood sugar level and prevent or control diabetes. So you must consume vegetables, whole grains, nuts, beans, fruits, and healthy fat as recommended by the Mayo Clinic diet. This way you won’t have the risk of having high blood pressure, sleep apnea and heart diseases.

Stick with this diet and watch you lose weight and start living a very good lifestyle.
