Motivation To Start Losing Weight

Hello,  welcome to Losing Weight With Pat. Today’s topic will be on getting motivated to lose weight.

You ever ask yourself, well I want to lose weight but I just don’t know where to start? Losing weight, I don’t know if I can really do it? These are a couple of questions people ask me every day that wants to lose weight.

I put off trying to get back down to the weight I use to be for a long time, ate like crap. Junk food was my nature. I changed all that and so can you. You see my friend, there are more important things in life than eating junk all day. Think about this, you lose the weight, now you start feeling good about yourself. Once you lose it you feel great.

You exercise more, eat better, and even after it is gone, you want to keep it up. Buy better foods, keep on exercising. Every day will bring the sunshine to you. It will I promise. I want to give you tips on how to start. The things that will get you motivated to lose the extra pounds that you have been wanting to lose for a long time.

This is probably the successful way of losing weight and accomplishing just about anything in life. People seem to accomplish more if they write their goals down. Buy a journal, and write down the reasons why you should or want to lose weight. There are probably a thousand reasons for wanting to lose weight.

Take a few minutes and think of the reasons. Start writing them down. It could be for family reasons for wanting to feel good every day. Write them down and keep to it. Read it every day, let it stick in your mind. Let a family member read them, it always helps to have support. Let them help you to stick to those goals.

If you have someone encouraging you, you know that they care. It makes it that much easier to lose weight.  So go out and buy a journal and get started. Stop putting it off. You will be happy you did this.

Bad Foods (Get Rid Of)

The next thing you need to do to  lose weight is to get rid of all the bad food in your freezer, refrigerator, and your pantry. This might be hard to do because you love eating Those salting chips, or all that fattening stuff you have in the fridge.  

Throw it all away, it’s less tempting if you don’t have them. If you want you can either toss it in the trash or go to a local church and drop them off. Churches are always looking for extra food for their food pantry.

Another thing you can do is get your journal out and mark down all the food you just threw away. Let that be a reminder of the bad stuff you use to feed your body with.  I believe that will make you mad of enough to want to improve yourself, just thinking about all that crap you use to feed on.

Good Food (Buy)

For a lot of people, this seems to be hard, especially if you are on a tight budget. I have people tell me all the time, trying to eat good and right is expensive. If you think about it, it’s really not that expensive. If you really want to lose weight then you will start changing your shopping habits.I’m not saying buy organic foods because that is expensive. Just good natural foods that will help you to lose weight.

Make a shopping list and stick to it. Don’t buy what you don’t have on it. The person who you have supported you on your journey to lose weight, let them tag along with you. It’s less tempting to buy what you don’t need if they are with you.

Buy more vegetables and fruits. Buy stuff with not so much fat and that has a lot of calories. If by chance you stop at a fast food restaurant, buy a salad with low-fat dressing, and for a drink ask for a water.

For now, that’s the best way that I came up with to being successful on your journey to lose weight. This is just a starting point for you.  Once you get this done, then it will be your decision to start losing those unwanted pounds. I’ll guarantee you once you start eating better you will never go back to your bad eating habits. You know something, I really care and would like to hear from you.
